Helen was born in East Los Angeles, CA. As a Latina, Helen has dedicated her life to breaking every barrier she has faced since childhood. Pursuing a college education with the dream to help others, she has been a positive force in the lives of many young adults. She has over 20 years of experience as a leader in the nonprofit sector, leading programs and mentoring staff that helped others overcome their own stories of adversity. Helen is an entrepreneur working as a consultant, speaker, and author, sharing her journey and joy for writing. She lives in Southern California with her three children.
